"Scarab beetle is a metaphysical and mythological symbol of ancient Egypt. Scarab holds great meaning and significance... opening one up to an entirely different atmosphere, to the elements and mysteries of the cosmos". ~ Presley Love
The scarab is the Egyptian symbol for eternity. They were symbols of rebirth, resurrection, transformation and growth.
I felt like I saw this symbol while painting, and looking into the spiritual significance of this beetle resonated a lot with me. I started on this painting probably over 2 years ago. And have undergone so much rebirth and transformation in the process. I was working and going to school full time, leaving almost zero time to create art or operate a business. I just recently finished this piece and I reflected on all the time I’ve had with it. I am now finished with school, starting a new career in which I adore, which allows me to have open days to create and get back into my flow. I am so grateful to be reopening my website after 6 months of closing down, due to not having the time/energy.
This original painting is 16”x20”
